But it has now emerged that Belarus will not allow Russian conscripts with a travel ban to leave the country. That is, escaping to Georgia, for example, will not work. They will be sent back home.

The State Border Committee of Belarus has officially confirmed the use of a shared database with Russia that blocks foreign travel for Russian citizens barred from crossing the border.

Now conscripts who have received a draft notice and ended up in the Russian electronic registry will not be able to use the airports or land checkpoints of the neighboring republic to fly out to third countries. Belarusian security forces openly say that if there is an entry for a "refusenik" in the system, they will stop him at passport control and not let him leave.
