The explosion occurred at a military unit in the village of Knyaze-Volkonskoye-1 in Khabarovsk Region.

The bomb was planted in a mailbox on the landing of building 55.

As a result, the explosion killed communications battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Kuzmenko, and several more orcs were wounded. Omburekov's own condition is still unknown.

The explosion was aimed at General Azatbek Omurbekov, who since 2023 has been chief of the 392nd District Training Center for Junior Specialists of the Eastern Military District. In 2022, Omurbekov headed the 64th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, which operated in Bucha.

Omurbekov's condition is still unknown. Lieutenant Colonel Kuzmenko, commander of the training communications battalion, was killed at the scene of the explosion.
