War through the eyes of Meduza readers. Today’s letter is from Dmitry
“I’m so sick of reading about suffering in this column. It’s some kind of endless whining, with no light at the end of the tunnel, especially from Russians who don’t live in frontline cities. Do you have any idea how hard it is for Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers right now? They are in the trenches repelling the occupiers’ endless attacks. How hard is it for the residents of Belgorod and Kharkiv, living under constant shelling?
For us, those of us who have not sat in a basement to the sound of air-raid sirens, things are fine. Those who feel bad but are not suffering directly can go to a psychologist and get help, but the person who sits in their home constantly waiting for shelling, who cannot leave their home (for example, the guys hiding from the TCC), who are they supposed to turn to? Enough already! Our problems are solvable.
Imagine how hard it is right now for Russian conscripts whom commanders lock up and beat to force them to sign a contract. Think about what that is like for them, huh? Imagine how hard it is for a mother who lost her child in a Shahed strike. Those are the people who have it hard; everyone else can solve their problems. So solve them. Why suffer? Stop whining. Glue up United Russia campaign posters, write to political prisoners, take the pills prescribed by your doctor, it’s all solvable. Do something, even something stupid, even something barely effective against the regime, try to persuade your granny who watches Solovyov. Enough already with this ‘I feel anger, depression, and so on.’

Empathy Issued By Shelling Quota
Those not under fire were told to stop whining and handle it themselves.
Empathy was issued by shelling level again.
