Vasily Boyko-Veliky has been released

The founder of the Russian Milk agroholding fully served his prison term by June 11, his lawyer told RBC. According to her, the businessman did not admit guilt on any of the charges brought against him.

Boyko-Veliky was arrested in 2019. After two years in pretrial detention, he was transferred to house arrest, and then given a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain activities.

In 2023, Boyko-Veliky was sentenced to six and a half years in a penal colony on charges of embezzling funds from Credit-Express Bank.

In 2025, he received another 15 and a half years in the criminal community case. Under that verdict, Boyko-Veliky was released from punishment because the statute of limitations had expired.

In total, the businessman spent two years and eight months in custody. In January, his first sentence was changed, with the time he spent under house arrest counted toward it.
