Ella Pamfilova urged people “not to grumble” over internet shutdowns during elections

According to her, the Central Election Commission has learned how to conduct elections, including electronic voting, even under blocking conditions.

“There’s no need to grumble, because let’s put it on the scales: you being unable to get online, or people’s lives being saved. Problems with communications and with the internet will happen in the interests of ensuring security. But even in such conditions, we have also learned how to carry out, including remote electronic voting. It will happen. And we have provided additional Wi-Fi points and so on”

Election Service Promises to Outlive Shutdowns

The election commission promised online voting during internet shutdowns.

The shutdown is now part of the service.
