Moscow’s Kuzminsky District Court has arrested 47-year-old Teymuraz Gogiashvili. He is accused of murdering two people for mercenary motives, as well as two counts of illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition. According to Moscow courts, the man admitted guilt.

According to investigators, on the evening of October 1, Gogiashvili shot the 19-year-old daughter of his live-in partner in a garage in New Moscow, and several hours later killed her 53-year-old mother, Elena Tsereteli, in an apartment on Zhulebinsky Boulevard. After that, he dismembered the bodies. Fragments of Tsereteli’s body were found on October 3 on the apartment balcony, and her daughter’s body was found in the garage, where weapons and ammunition were also discovered. Gogiashvili was detained the next day in Voronezh Oblast.

Since 2014, Gogiashvili had fought in eastern Ukraine as part of the Sparta battalion, which was commanded by Arsen Pavlov, known as Motorola. Later he worked at the Rossiya Segodnya media holding and received a Russian passport. A woman born in 1986 who was with him at the time of detention is being checked for involvement in the crime.
