What Was Happening in Southeast Moscow on June 18? Bereg’s Report from Lyubertsy and Kapotnya

On the night of June 18, residents of a number of districts in Moscow and the Moscow region lived through the largest drone attack by the AFU since the start of the war. In the region, at least 17 people were injured; Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claims that nearly 200 drones were shot down on their approach to the capital.

Because of fires at the Moscow oil refinery and at the Sadovod and Mega Belaya Dacha shopping centers, the sky above Kapotnya, Lyubertsy, and the surrounding areas was covered with black clouds, and some residents of those districts complained of “oil rains.”

Official media ignored the largest drone attack on Russia’s capital, while propagandists and Z-bloggers advised Muscovites “not to panic” and “took their hats off” to the capital’s air defenses.
