My country was taken away from me and my children. Our future in it was taken away. We were not planning to leave anywhere until this happened. But to remain in this nightmare, growing worse with each passing day, and even passively support our country's aggression against a brotherly people was unbearable for us. We left everything behind: good jobs, our own business, real estate, and left.

Here, no one especially needs us, and everything has to be achieved again from scratch and with great difficulty. But back home, no one needs us either, let's not harbor illusions.

We were always politically active and responsible, we tried to contribute to democratic reforms, and at least we are not ashamed for ourselves when people talk about the passivity of Russians who pissed away their rights and freedoms. Alas, it did not work out.

And all I can speak of is the monstrous pain that lives in my heart for all those innocently harmed and killed in this war. And there are no words of optimism and hope left anymore...
