In Latvia, a woman was sentenced to six years for transferring 43 euros to Russia.

The Riga City Court sentenced Rezekne resident Polina Kamlyova to six years in prison for transferring about 43 euros to buy equipment for the Russian military, Delfi writes.

According to the court, in December 2024 Kamlyova, through an acquaintance from Russia, agreed to help raise money for the Russian army. The funds were intended to purchase a drone-jamming device. Since it was impossible to transfer money directly from Latvia to Russia, the woman asked an acquaintance in Belarus to make the payment on her behalf, concealing its purpose.

Taking into account the time she has spent in custody, she has about five years and two months left to serve.
