Yabloko party member Elena Perepelitsa was sentenced to four years in prison for transferring 3,500 rubles to FBK
Mediazona reports that 60-year-old Elena Perepelitsa was accused of making seven transfers of 500 rubles each to the foundation. She partially admitted guilt, while disagreeing that she had donated to “extremist” activity.
According to the charges, on August 5, 2021, Perepelitsa set up a subscription for monthly donations to FBK. She was detained in July 2026 and sent to a pretrial detention center.
In her final statement, she said that, as a psychologist, she had helped victims of domestic violence, people after suicide attempts, and those who found themselves in difficult life situations, including the wives of “participants in the special military operation.”
“I ask you for mercy and compassion for my 85-year-old mother, who came to me from Vladivostok to die, whom I took in two months before my detention. And for my husband, who in his old age has been left alone with my sick mother on his hands, whom in 30 years of our marriage he had seen maybe 10 times at most,” Perepelitsa said.
