The number of Muscovites’ search queries about drone attacks has reached an all-time record
The number of search queries by Moscow residents about drone attacks has reached its highest level in five years. This is shown by data from Google and Yandex search services analyzed by Verstka.
🟪According to Google Trends, in June this year the popularity of the queries "drone attack," "UAV attack Moscow," and "drone attack Moscow" reached the maximum mark of 100 points. The previous peak was recorded a year earlier, in June, when Ukraine carried out Operation Spiderweb, attacking Russian military airfields.
🟪Yandex Wordstat data show a similar trend: in May 2026, users from the Moscow region searched for information using the query "UAV attacks" almost 134 thousand times. That is dozens of times higher than in previous months and years. The service has not yet published full statistics for June.
🟪 In addition, residents of the capital have started searching more often for information on what to do during drone attacks. In May and June of this year, the query "protection from UAVs" reached record levels in both services. The popularity of the query "what to do during a UAV attack" also jumped in Google Trends from 0 to 100 points. Yandex Wordstat is also recording a sharp increase, although the number of searches for that phrase itself is still small, around one and a half thousand.
