On July 23, the European Union adopted a new, 21st package of sanctions against Russia. Among the companies hit by the restrictions were the operator of the Zolotaya Korona payment service and Tsifra Bank, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s Freedom Bank.

The next day, they stopped transfers from Russia: with the help of Tsifra Bank, Russians will no longer be able to instantly transfer money to Kazakhstan, and through Zolotaya Korona, to Kazakhstan and Georgia.
