Putin is being accompanied on the trip to the Irkutsk Aviation Plant by Rostec chief Sergei Chemezov and Irkutsk Oblast Governor Igor Kobzev. Together with the plant’s director Andrei Soynov, TASS reports, they will “inspect the production facilities where the new Russian medium-haul passenger aircraft MC-21 is being launched into serial production.”
The visit to Irkutsk was not announced in advance.
