Ukrainian Armed Forces Confirm Strike on Oil Refinery in Tuapse
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a strike on the Tuapse oil refinery. The Ukrainian military’s statement says the plant processes 12 million tons of oil per year and is involved in supplying the Russian army.
Earlier, the Krasnodar Krai operational headquarters reported that technological equipment had caught fire at the port. Astra, citing eyewitnesses, writes that the oil depot has been burning for more than 16 hours, and local residents are complaining about ash.
The regional operational headquarters also reported that in Tuapse, as a result of the drone attack, 52 private houses, eight apartment buildings, and three “socially significant facilities” were damaged.
