On June 19, it became known that mass raids by military enlistment offices are taking place in Penza: men are being grabbed on the streets and on public transport, forced to sign contracts, and taken to the combat zone. Media outlets write that the raids have caused panic in the city. The Interior Ministry and Penza’s military commissar deny that they are happening at all. Meanwhile, a video filmed near one of Penza’s military enlistment offices spread on social media. It shows a minibus with soldiers and men in civilian clothes inside. Women have gathered around the minibus; they are crying, cursing the soldiers, and trying to stop the minibus from leaving. Mediazona spoke with one of the women in the video. Her husband was in that minibus. He is now already in Mariupol.
