Russian crypto exchange Grinex says more than 1 billion rubles were stolen, blaming “structures of hostile states”
The crypto exchange Grinex said it had suffered a cyberattack in which, according to the company, users’ funds totaling more than 1 billion rubles were stolen.
“The digital traces and nature of the attack indicate an unprecedented level of resources and technologies available exclusively to structures of hostile states,” a representative of the exchange said.
The exchange’s operations have been suspended. The Grinex channel reports a “technical break”; deposits and withdrawals are unavailable, and the issuance of office passes to the Moscow City office has also been suspended.
