❗️Cloudflare labeled the Max messenger a spyware application

The крупнейший hosting provider Cloudflare has labeled the domain of the “national messenger” Max as spyware, Verstka discovered.

Exactly when the service assigned this status to the domain is unknown. At the same time, the Cloudflare website says that the Max domain still has a TLS certificate confirming the project’s authenticity.

In addition, the Max app is still available for download in the AppStore and Google Play.

💜Earlier, Cloudflare labeled an unofficial client for the Telegram messenger called Telega as spyware. Against that background, its TLS certificate was revoked, and AppStore removed the application from the catalog. Project representatives explained the removal as a classification error.

💜After that, iPhone users complained about problems with their phones after updating iOS — according to them, the devices remained stuck in a loading state for a long time and then became locked. Some users linked this to the presence of the Telega app on the smartphone.
