The other day, we asked Meduza readers in Russia to tell us how the gasoline crisis, triggered by Ukrainian missile and drone strikes on oil refineries, feels “on the ground.”

Hundreds of responses came in from dozens of regions across the country (thanks to everyone who took part!). As it turned out, the crisis has not yet reached every corner of Russia, and even where its signs are already visible, the situation is still extremely uneven and differs literally from one gas station to another.
