Authorities in Tver Region acknowledged a gasoline shortage in the region. The head of Lipetsk Region asked residents not to fill up in advance

In Tver Region, restrictions were introduced on gasoline sales at Surgutneftegaz and Tatneft stations, the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade reported on June 19.

The next day, the department said that “work had been carried out” with the management of all gas-station chains. Gasoline is now being sold at all stations, but some have “temporary interruptions in operation,” linked among other things to “increased consumer demand.”

On social media, people said the limits were 20–30 liters and also complained about closed Rosneft gas stations, Agentstvo notes.

Queues at gas stations are also being observed in Lipetsk Region, Governor Igor Artamonov acknowledged. He wrote that he had driven around the region and found “interruptions with certain types of fuel” at a number of stations in Yelets, Lipetsk, and districts.

Artamonov asked residents to “fill up according to current need,” since buying fuel in advance increases pressure on gas stations and “washes out gasoline faster where it is available.”
