The Roscongress-backed forum “Strong Ideas for a New Time” banned a user over the idea to “stop the war in Ukraine”

Sota writes that today Gosuslugi sent out a mailing inviting people to submit “ideas for improving life in our country” for the forum “Strong Ideas for a New Time.”

The event website says it is a “large-scale event aimed at identifying and supporting the implementation of significant initiatives by Russian citizens.” It is held with the support, among others, of Roscongress,

Authors of the best ideas will receive support, media promotion, and the opportunity to participate in key business events. Finalists will be able to present their projects to the country’s leadership,

the mailing says.

An editor from the outlet left the idea “Stop the war with Ukraine” on the forum website, but within minutes, according to Sota, it was hidden from the general idea feed and the account was blocked because the idea “is of an acutely political nature.” The forum website says that over five years of the forum, more than 120,000 ideas were submitted and each received feedback.
