Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Dubna Space Communications Center outside Moscow
According to ASTRA, this is the largest satellite communications station in Russia and is used by the country’s Defense Ministry, among others.
In 2023, then Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu presented the Dubna center with a pennant “For Courage, Military Valor and High Combat Training,” stating that more than 2,000 communications sessions had been held for the benefit of the Defense Ministry.
The Telegram channel “VChK-OGPU” claims the attack damaged an administrative building, a power supply unit, the main low-current unit, and “antenna mirrors and antenna-feed equipment” on two towers.
