The Presidential Grants Fund allocated money to teach children from Belgorod Region skills for life under shelling

The Orthodox Scouts Brotherhood organization received a presidential grant of more than two million rubles for the project “Brotherhood of Safety: Skills for Life in the Borderland.”

The project description says that 120 children and teenagers aged 10 to 17 will be taught “practical skills for safe behavior in conditions characteristic of a border zone.”

Children will be taught action algorithms for alarm signals, skills for “visual identification of explosive objects,” and how to work “with a compass and map.”

Project participants will also learn to “stop bleeding, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and transport the injured,” as well as “distinguish fakes and counter panic.”
