This happened at a meeting with representatives of Dagestan, the transcript of which the Kremlin published.

At the meeting, the speaker of the republic’s parliament, Zaur Askenderov, said that four deputies had been to the war, and that one of them does not “want to leave” it.

“I had a question for him, he went from the very first day, and I said: ‘What was your motive, I would like to know?’ He said: ‘You know, I went there with humanitarian aid and saw outright fascism there,’” Askenderov said.
