A Wildberries warehouse near Alexei Balabanov Street was evacuated in Yekaterinburg because a drone attack caused a fire in the parking lot

Governor Denis Pasler wrote that a fire broke out in a parking area in the city’s Chkalovsky district after drone debris fell there.

“One of the attempted UAV attacks on our region was repelled. Economic and infrastructure facilities were not damaged. People were evacuated, there were no injuries,” he said.

He did not specify which exact site he was referring to, but Wildberries’ press service said that at the same time, a “preemptive planned evacuation in accordance with safety requirements” was carried out at the company’s warehouse in Yekaterinburg.

“At present, operations at the logistics facility have been temporarily suspended. Work is expected to resume in normal mode shortly. The logistics complex was not damaged,” they said.

Neither the regional authorities nor the company itself directly say that the fire caused by falling drone debris started specifically at the Wildberries site, but there is a marketplace distribution center in the Chkalovsky district, located between Perspektivnaya Street and Alexei Balabanov Street.
