At least 5,149 foreign citizens recruited into the Russian army have already been killed in "meat assaults," Brigadier General Dmytro Usov said.

According to him, more than 13,000 citizens of Central Asian countries are fighting as part of the Russian army, more than 1,800 from South Asia, nearly 3,000 from Africa, more than 1,500 from Latin America, as well as about 14,000 soldiers from the DPRK.

Because of recruitment problems with getting Russians to sign contracts, Russia plans to recruit 18,500 foreigners this year. For the Kremlin, foreigners are a cheap expendable resource whose deaths do not affect sentiment in Russian society.

According to the personal data available to us, the losses among foreign mercenaries in the Russian army have already reached at least 5,149 people.

Several hundred managed to survive and were taken prisoner. As of today, citizens of 48 countries are being held in Ukraine as prisoners of war. The largest numbers of POWs are citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus.
