The first to report this was Alena, a resident of the Shchyolkovo district of the Moscow region, in a comment to the outlet Gazeta.ru. According to her, the provider “Vsem Wi-Fi” has been operating only via a “whitelist” since May 1.

Alena said she contacted the provider’s support service, and they told her that “this will continue throughout the May holidays,” and that the decision was made by some kind of “upstream provider,” and the company bears no responsibility for it.

Russian state TV channel RT reported that subscribers of the provider Istranet also encountered service operating only via a “whitelist.”

Several people interviewed by the outlet “Kod Durova” said that on their home internet, only services included in the “whitelist” work, while other pages do not open.
