The Kenyan government continues to consistently tackle the problem of Russian recruitment of the country’s citizens for the war against Ukraine.

Kenya’s Foreign Minister Musalia Mudavadi said that all citizens of the country who take part in armed conflicts abroad without government permission will face criminal prosecution. He stressed that most Kenyans who went to fight on Russia’s side did so consciously and voluntarily, “going with full understanding of where they were going,” Bloomberg writes.

“Once it is established that they participated in this activity, they will face the full force of the law for committing such crimes,” the official said.

Mudavadi also cited grim statistics: at least 10 Kenyans have been killed and were identified; 38 were wounded during combat operations and are now in hospitals. Kenyan authorities were also informed about the liquidation of 600(!) private agencies engaged in illegal recruitment.

Recall that earlier Kenyan authorities managed to secure from the Russian Federation a halt to the recruitment of their citizens. After that, it became known that Russian command had urgently transferred to the front 518 Kenyan citizens, who had previously been in Russian Armed Forces training camps, with the aim of “zeroing them out” in assaults.

☝️Russia makes no secret of the fact that foreigners are simply expendable material for it, so all states that want to save their people need to make maximum efforts to pull out of the claws of the Kremlin cannibals those who have already signed a contract with the Russian Armed Forces. As for those who may fall for Russian recruiters’ promises of “mountains of gold,” they must not be allowed to go to “work in Russia.”
