Yabloko deputy chair and former Moscow City Duma deputy Maxim Kruglov was sentenced to seven years in a general-regime penal colony in the case over “fake news” about the army.
Kruglov was charged over two posts on his Telegram channel and VK page: one concerned Bucha, while in the other he cited data on Ukrainian civilians killed, referring to a UN report.
He did not admit guilt. Prosecutors had requested eight years in prison for Kruglov.
