Russia’s ban on gasoline exports will be extended through the end of the year
Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced that the ban on gasoline exports from Russia will be extended through the end of 2026.
He added that the ban on diesel exports will be lifted "as the market recovers."
The Russian government banned gasoline exports starting April 1, 2026. It is currently in effect until July 31.
Against the backdrop of the fuel crisis caused by Ukraine’s strikes on Russian oil refineries, the Russian authorities banned diesel fuel exports starting July 8.
