Region after region is reporting limits on fuel sales per customer. Buyers are finding no gasoline at filling stations. Farmers are sounding the alarm over a jump in diesel prices. All of this is further worsening the country’s fuel crisis, triggered by an effective campaign of long-range Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on Russian oil refineries.

The authorities are trying in emergency mode to calm the public and businesses and are preparing steps to stabilize the market. But they clearly have no “silver bullet” capable of solving all the problems.
