Russia will close Romania’s consulate in St. Petersburg


Russia has also declared Romania’s consul general in St. Petersburg persona non grata, according to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.


The Russian Foreign Ministry said this was a response to the “completely unfounded” withdrawal of consent for the operation of Russia’s consulate general in Constanța.


🔵In May, it became known that Romania would close Russia’s consulate general in Constanța after a drone hit a residential building; the consul general was declared persona non grata.
